Centennial, Colo. - A chilly 37 degrees Fahrenheit welcomed the 2019/20 Colorado Super League semifinals to Dove Valley Regional Park on Sunday morning.
FC Denver vs Colorado Rush II
Colorado Rush II was coming into the semifinal with a chip on their should after losing to FC Denver two weeks ago. In that game, Rush II failed to show their tenacity and consistency, which they had shown throughout the season. This time, under different circumstances, and a chance to be the first team to reach back-to-back Colorado Super League Finals, the expectation was much higher.
FC Denver on the other hand, has been dominant against their opponents. Besides their 2-1 defeat against GAM United FC in Week 5, FC Denver has won all of their regular season games, and has outscored their opponents 21-2 in eight games. They were clearly the favorites to move on to the Final because of their last head-to-head encounter and because of their season-long performance.
